These are tips I think everyone should follow to make sure they're safe.
"Never put your last name or your address."This is important because you never know who is viewing your blog and you don't want some random person trying to track you down.
"Assume what you publish on the internet is permanent." Meaning think before you post anything online because even if you delete it, whatever information you posted is still visible somewhere.
"Watch your language!" We want to look somewhat intelligent and when we curse we look very ignorant and unprofessional.
"Don't write about other people without their permission on your blog." Others may not like it when you talk about them, even if its positive, without them knowing.
"Always make sure to check your posts for spelling errors and grammar errors." You don't want to look like you didn't even pass the 5th grade so its a good idea to correct your errors.
"If you write your opinion on a topic don't be offensive to anyone's ideas." You wouldn't like it if someone put you down and made you feel stupid. So don't do it to others.
"Make sure the things you write about are factual." You don't want to look like a liar so make sure everything you post on your blog is true.
"Blog frequently." Keep your readers interested by having blog posts as often as possible.
"Never disrespect anyone in your blog." You wouldn't like it if someone called you names and made you seem like a terrible person, so don't do it to someone else.
"If you are wanting to post a quote on your blog from someone else you should put it in quotes and put their name underneath." That way you give them credit.
